Blithfield Resevoir
Owned by South Staffs Water, Blithfield Reservoir is in the heart of rural Staffordshire, surrounded by green fields and natural woodland.
Situated a stone’s throw from historic Abbots Bromley, the angling club is ideally placed to take advantage of the village’s amenities.
Completed in 1953 Blithfield Reservoir became a trout fishery in 1957 and is now the Midland’s premier trout fishing site. The reservoir offers over 11 miles of superb bank fishing as well as excellent ‘top of the water’ sport from its fleet of 30 powered boats.
Members and their friends can relax and enjoy the warmth and comfort of our fishing lodge, which offers a wonderful, scenic view across the southern lake.

Gailey Trout Fishery
Run by anglers for anglers

Gailey is one of the Midlands oldest trout fisheries and run by 10 former season ticket holders hence the motto "Run by anglers for anglers" and that is how the fishery operates. Regularly stocked with hard fighting rainbow, brown trout and blue trout. A range of day and season tickets including catch and release are available at really low prices.

Situated nine miles to the south of Shrewsbury in Shropshire and at the foot of the Lawley and Caradoc Hills, Hillview offers spectacular fishing in crystal clear spring fed water.

Coarse Carp Fisheries

Blackford Progressive AC

Blackfords Progressive Angling Club is one of Staffordshire's friendliest and most progressive club that any angler could join. Whatever type of fishing appeals to you will find a water that will satisfy your needs. All of our waters hold a good variety of coarse fish and are suited to both pleasure and match anglers. We have a competitive but friendly match scene with matches running approximately every 2 weeks & a winter league running from November to February. To ensure pleasure anglers get the full use of the pools the matches are limited to 1 per month per venue. All of our waters are looked after by a strong management team and competent bailiff presence to bring you the best sport possible.
Membership is open and joining the club could not be easier and as long as you respect the club and waters you will have a great time. Licences can be obtained from Archline Angling and from the bailiffs and committee members.
